Our session fees
Your first (initial) consultation attracts a one-off surcharge over and above the standard subsequent-session fee, reflecting the extra time spent on your initial assessment, history and personalised plan.
Your out-of-pocket “gap” is the difference between the fee and the rebate — $41.60 per subsequent session, for eligible clients with a current plan.
Medicare rebates
With the right referral and plan from your GP or psychiatrist, Medicare rebates part of the cost of each dietitian session:
The dietitian rebate is a set amount per session, regardless of how long the consultation runs. Rate applies from 1 July 2026; Medicare indexes it each 1 July. The difference between our fee and the rebate is your out-of-pocket “gap.”
Up to 20 Medicare-rebated dietitian sessions within a 12-month referral period (alongside up to 40 psychology sessions).
Up to 5 Medicare-rebated allied health sessions per calendar year, shared across all your allied health providers — your GP decides how many go toward dietetics.
You don’t need a referral to book a dietitian appointment with us — but a current plan is needed if you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate. Your GP can tell you which plan suits your situation.

Many funds offer a rebate on dietetics under “extras” cover. You can’t claim Medicare and private health for the same session — check your cover directly.
We welcome self-managed NDIS participants only where dietetics is funded in your plan. Our standard consultation fees apply and must be paid in full before your appointment. We’ll then provide a receipt so you can claim reimbursement from your own NDIS plan funds — the NDIS reimburses dietetics consultations at $178.99, so where our fee is higher than this you’ll be out of pocket the difference. We are not a registered NDIS provider, so we’re unable to see plan-managed or NDIA-managed participants.
Where dietetics is approved and funded by WorkCover Queensland or an insurer, we arrange this directly with the funder, with written approval confirmed before your first appointment.
You’re welcome to see our dietitian privately, with no referral or funding — simply pay the consultation fee.
Paying for your appointment
Dietitian appointments are pre-paid in full no later than three business days before your session.
Any changes or cancellations are made by SMS to 0474 919 759 — the same simple process as the rest of the practice.
