We are a small practice and we keep this page current, so you can refer with a realistic sense of when your patient will be seen.
Accepting referrals
Adults, adolescents and children. Trauma and PTSD, eating and feeding disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, and complex or co-occurring presentations. Also couples and family work.
Accepting referrals
Anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss. A lower session fee, and so a smaller out-of-pocket gap.

Eating disorders, disordered eating and body image, and cardiovascular and chronic-condition nutrition — working alongside our psychologists where both are indicated.
What we treat
Adults, adolescents and children — as individuals, couples and families.
Depression, anxiety and stress, panic, social anxiety, health anxiety, burnout and adjustment difficulties, bipolar disorder.
Single-incident and complex trauma, PTSD, childhood adversity, and trauma and belief reprocessing.
Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, muscle dysmorphia and body image concerns — with psychology and dietetics working together under an Eating Disorder Plan.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism and compulsive behaviours.
Bereavement, prolonged grief, separation, illness and identity change.
Couples and family therapy, and psychology for athletes and high-performing professionals.
Note that Medicare does not rebate couples or relationship counselling.

Psychometric testing, diagnosis and reports
If your patient needs a formal assessment rather than therapy, we hold a library of validated instruments and can provide a written report for you, for school, or for workplace and funding purposes.
Please indicate on your referral that an assessment is being requested, and what question you want answered — it helps us select the right battery and quote accurately.
How to refer
A Mental Health Care Plan, an Eating Disorder Plan, or a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan — the table below sets out what each one unlocks. A plan is not required to be seen; it is only required for your patient to claim a rebate.
Your usual referral letter is fine. What helps us most:

Up to 10 rebated psychology sessions per calendar year (January–December).
Commonly six sessions initially, with a review before the seventh, then a further review after ten.
Up to 40 rebated psychology sessions plus up to 20 dietitian sessions within the 12-month referral period.
Reviews after sessions 10, 20 and 30. A psychiatrist consultation is required between sessions 1 and 20.
Up to 5 rebated allied health sessions per calendar year, shared across all allied health providers — you decide the split.
Replaced the CDM/EPC plan from 1 July 2025. A team care arrangement is no longer required — a current plan and referral letter is enough.
Fees, rebates and the gap
So you can set your patient’s expectations before they leave your room. All psychology sessions run a full 50 minutes.

Gap shown is for a subsequent session with a current plan. Rebates apply from 1 July 2026 and are indexed by Medicare each 1 July. The dietitian rebate is a set amount per session of 20 minutes or longer, regardless of length.
Where we hold a current referral and Medicare details, we lodge the claim the same day via Tyro Health Online. Rebates are usually back within 1–24 hours on business days.
Private health extras, WorkCover Queensland, CTP and income-protection insurers, professional sporting bodies, and plan-managed or self-managed NDIS.
Appointments are paid in full no later than three business days beforehand. Worth mentioning to patients for whom this may be a barrier.
What happens next
Usually within a few business days, to arrange a first appointment. Your patient can also book online themselves at any time.
With your patient’s consent, we can provide progress updates or a written report to support your plan reviews.
We are not a crisis service. Please flag any risk clearly on the referral so we can prioritise it. If there is immediate risk, patients should call 000, or Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Frequently asked
Are you accepting new referrals?
Yes. Both psychologists and our dietitian have current availability, and new patients can usually be offered an appointment the same week, in person in Bundall or by telehealth.
Do you bulk bill?
No — we are a private practice. With a current plan, your patient claims the Medicare rebate and pays the gap. The gap is $200.95 per subsequent session with our Principal Clinical Psychologist and $168.45 with our Psychologist.
Does my patient need a referral to be seen?
No. Patients can self-refer and book directly. A referral and current plan are only needed for them to claim a Medicare rebate.
Can you see patients outside the Gold Coast?
Yes — we offer telehealth Australia-wide, with the same Medicare rebates as in-person sessions under a current plan.
Will I receive a report back?
With your patient’s consent, we can provide progress updates or a written report to support your plan reviews. Please tell us on the referral if you would like correspondence back.
Can you see children and adolescents?
Yes — we see children, adolescents and adults, and provide family and couples work. Paediatricians and psychiatrists are also welcome to refer.
How do I refer for an ADHD or autism assessment?
Send your usual referral and note that an assessment is being requested, along with the question you want answered. Assessment is not rebated under a Mental Health Care Plan, so we will quote before booking.
