Clear information, when you need it
Our online support, designed to save you time — while helping us respond more efficiently and accurately.
This page brings together answers to the most common questions about our clinic, services, and how we work — including appointments, fees, documentation, communication, and general processes.
We encourage you to read through the FAQs first, as many questions can be answered here without needing to contact the clinic directly.
Over time, we’ve refined the way our clinic operates to ensure care remains thoughtful, focused, and sustainable. Rather than maintaining a large administrative team, much of our clinic coordination is now handled digitally.
This allows us to reduce unnecessary back-and-forth, respond more accurately, and keep clinical time protected for client care. Providing clear information upfront helps everyone — clients, referrers, and third parties — know what to expect and how best to proceed.

Appointments
Booking, referrals, reminders, session length, and what happens in your first consultation.
Can I attend just one session?+
Yes. You are welcome to attend a single session if you wish.
Some people attend one appointment to explore whether our clinic or a particular service feels like the right fit, while others engage in ongoing therapy, assessment, or specific clinical work. There is no requirement to commit to ongoing sessions unless this is something you choose to do.
Appointments can be booked online.
Book onlineCan I book for someone else (e.g. my child, partner, or family member)?+
Yes, you may book an appointment on behalf of your child, adolescent, partner, or family member. However, booking an appointment does not replace the requirement for informed consent.
All services require the Client’s consent to treatment, which is provided through completion of our Client Intake and Consent Form by:
Attendance must be voluntary. The Client must personally consent to the appointment and engage in the intake and consent process themselves. Appointments cannot proceed if a Client has been booked without their agreement to attend.
A parent or guardian with parental responsibility provides consent on the child’s behalf. This is the usual pathway for younger children — but there is no fixed age cut-off: where a child is assessed as having enough maturity to understand the particular decision, they may be able to consent for themselves (see below). In most cases, the treating psychologist will consider the child a dependant who does not yet have capacity to consent independently.
If the psychologist determines that the young person has sufficient maturity and capacity to consent to their own treatment (often referred to as a mature minor), the young person’s consent is required. Wherever possible, parental consent is also sought and encouraged.
For all child and adolescent Clients, the treating psychologist will assess capacity to consent at the initial appointment, in line with professional and ethical guidelines. This process helps ensure that all clients are attending willingly, understand the nature of the service, and are able to engage meaningfully in their care.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?+
Yes, provided the Client consents to this. We will need the support person to complete a separate consent form called an “Associated Party Consent Form”, as they will form an Associated Party to your care with us.
Can I change or cancel an existing appointment?+
Yes. Appointments can be changed or cancelled by sending us an SMS to 0474 919 759 (or by replying RESCHEDULE or CANCEL to your appointment reminder) — we don’t action changes by phone or email.
Changes and cancellations must be made within the required notice period outlined in our Cancellation Policy.
Read our cancellation policyCan I request a specific clinician?+
Yes. If you have a preference, you can indicate this when either booking online or submitting a request form.
Can I switch between in-person and Telehealth appointments?+
In many cases, yes. Switching from an in-clinic consultation to a Telehealth consultation is always possible — please let us know immediately by SMS reply to your appointment confirmation message.
However, switching from a Telehealth consultation to an in-clinic consultation is only available in certain circumstances. Please check with us 2 business days in advance by SMS reply to your appointment confirmation message, so we can check this for you and give you the option of changing your appointment date to avoid a cancellation fee.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?+
No, you do not need a referral to book or attend an appointment at our clinic. You are welcome to attend appointments privately, or your sessions may be funded by a third-party funding organisation (some of which do not require a formal referral).
If you wish to claim a Medicare rebate (available for attended consultations only), you will need one of the following from your GP or psychiatrist:
These are only available under an Eating Disorder Management Plan, or a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
If you are unsure which option applies to you, you can still proceed with booking an initial consultation online for psychology or dietetics, or submit a request and we will guide you based on your circumstances.
See Medicare rebatesDo you have a waitlist if no appointments are available as early as I need one?+
Yes. If no suitable appointments are currently available, you may request to be placed on a waitlist. If an earlier appointment becomes available, we will contact clients on the waitlist in order of availability.
Do you offer appointment reminders?+
Yes. We offer an extensive amount of appointment reminders sent by both SMS and email, along with an SMS and email confirming your appointment booking at the time it was made.
We provide both confirmation and reminder messages several days in advance to give you enough notice to cancel or change your appointment outside of our cancellation policy window (2 business days), as well as another reminder 12 hours before your appointment. If your appointment is booked as a Telehealth (video) appointment, we will also SMS you again 1 hour before with the video link.
Some may say our reminder system is overkill, but for the majority of our clients it works best — for you and for us.
Do you offer in-person or Telehealth appointments?+
We offer in-person consultations at our clinic for all psychology and dietitian services. We also offer Telehealth (video, phone) consultations for all dietitian services, and most psychology services.
Please note that Telehealth is only suitable for select psychological services, such as psychological therapy and some forms of clinical assessment and psychometric testing. Phone-only appointments may not be suitable for psychological consultation where a medico-legal report is required.
Please submit a request if you are unsure whether Telehealth consultations are suitable for your service request, or discuss this at your initial consultation with your Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist and they will be able to determine this for you.
Do you offer urgent or crisis appointments?+
If you are a new client — so long as we have an available appointment time to suit how urgently you need one, and you have your intake and consent forms and payment all completed prior to the appointment commencing — you are able to attend an appointment as urgently as you wish.
Please keep in mind that the wait time to have your appointment confirmation arranged can vary depending on the day and time of day you arrange your appointment.
How do I book my first appointment?+
All appointments can be booked online via our online booking system. You will be required to pay for your initial appointment in full at the time of booking.
If you are unable to book online, you may submit a Request Initial Appointment form and our team will review your request.
Book onlineHow long are appointments?+
Initial sessions for all psychology service types are strictly 50 minutes in duration. Subsequent sessions for all psychological clinical assessment and therapy (whether individual, couples, or family therapy) are also strictly 50 minutes.
We recommend double appointments (two back-to-back 50-minute sessions) for most family therapy sessions, making your total appointment time 100 minutes. Clients may also opt for a double appointment for individual or couples sessions, which you are welcome to do. However, for individual therapy, please be aware you cannot receive two Medicare rebates under an MHCP or EDMP referral for a double appointment — only one rebate will apply.
Session time will vary depending on which tests are being administered. We will advise you at the time of booking how long we expect each individual testing session to take.
Initial dietitian consultations are 60 minutes and subsequent consultations are 30 minutes. If you wish to have a 60-minute subsequent consultation at any time, that is not a problem and can be arranged by booking an extended dietitian appointment online.
How soon do I need to book?+
Appointment availability varies depending on the service type and clinician availability. Some appointments may be available within a short timeframe, while others — particularly assessments or specialist services — may require booking several weeks in advance.
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred time and clinician.
What happens if I am late to my appointment?+
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time in order to avoid impacting subsequent appointments. The full session fee applies regardless of the length of time attended, as the appointment time has been reserved specifically for you.
If your appointment is scheduled to be in-clinic and you expect to be more than 20 minutes late, we recommend switching to a Telehealth appointment (video or phone) where possible. This can help ensure the remaining session time is still used effectively.
If you choose to cancel the appointment on the day, the full session fee will be charged as a same-day cancellation, in line with our cancellation policy.
What happens if my clinician is unavailable (e.g. due to illness or leave)?+
These situations seldom occur. However, in the event this does happen, we will let you know as soon as we become aware and will notify you via SMS, requesting confirmation that you have received the message. If we do not hear from you, we will attempt other communication methods including phone and email. We will then work out a time with you to move your appointment to.
If you have already pre-paid for your appointment, you will have the option of either your payment being fully refunded, or having this payment applied to your rescheduled consultation.
What happens in the first consultation?+
Your first session is focused on understanding why you’re seeking support, what you’re hoping to achieve, and how we can best help you moving forward. The structure will vary slightly depending on the type of service you are attending.
Your psychologist will also outline next steps, discuss frequency of sessions, and ensure you feel informed, supported, and comfortable with the process.
Dietetic sessions are collaborative and paced to ensure support feels practical and achievable.
What should I do if I’m not sure which service to book?+
Please submit a new client enquiry request via the Submit A Request page and we will advise which service would be most suitable for your initial consultation.
Submit a requestDo you offer phone consultations prior to booking an appointment?+
No. Our practice does not provide unbilled phone or pre-booking clinical consultations for either psychology or our dietitian services. All clinical discussions with our psychologists and dietitian occur within a formally booked consultation appointment. This ensures appropriate clinical boundaries, privacy, and high-quality care.
Review our website to confirm whether we assess and treat your area of concern — for psychology: psychological assessment and diagnosis, psychometric testing, individual therapy, child psychology, couples and marriage therapy, family therapy, and online Telehealth consultations. For dietetics: eating disorders, anorexia nervosa and atypical anorexia, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, orthorexia, muscle dysmorphia, and cardiovascular health.
You can also complete an online enquiry form outlining your concerns, goals, or specific requirements. All enquiries are reviewed, and we will advise you if your needs are not suitable for our services prior to booking.

About Our Services
Therapy, assessment, psychometric testing, reports, and how we communicate between sessions.
Can I request forms, letters, or reports?+
Yes. All requests for forms, letters, reports, or other documentation need to be submitted through our online request system. This ensures all relevant information is provided upfront and allows us to process requests accurately. Fees and timeframes will be discussed before any work is undertaken.
Yes. You do not have to be a therapy client to request a report.
Yes. This applies to both clinical assessment and psychometric testing. Sometimes new clients seek clinical assessment purely for diagnostic clarification.
Yes. Reports can generally be provided to any third party suitable to have access. Often you will receive the report and forward it at your own discretion, e.g. to a school, psychiatrist or employer. In some instances we may believe it is clinically indicated that the report is sent on your behalf, e.g. to a lawyer in a legal matter.
That depends on the nature of the report and how quickly all required information can be collected and compiled. It could take anywhere from 1–4 weeks; please ask your psychologist in consultation for a more accurate timeframe.
These are completed by Ashley Gilmour, our Principal Clinical Psychologist of 17 years’ experience.
Ashley writes reports for a range of purposes including clinical assessment, psychometric testing, legal and court matters, court-ordered family therapy outcomes, employer-related matters, insurance matters, decision disputes such as WorkCover, NDIS applications, and Centrelink Disability Support Pension applications. If you have a different request, submit the details and Ashley will review and provide a decision.
Do you offer couples therapy or family therapy?+
Yes, we provide both couples therapy (including marriage counselling) and family therapy. These services are offered exclusively by Ashley Gilmour, Principal Clinical Psychologist.
Couples and families may attend therapy for a wide range of reasons, including relationship difficulties, communication challenges, family conflict, life transitions, or support during periods of stress or change. In the initial session, Ashley will take time to understand the nature of the concerns, the perspectives of all parties involved, and the goals each person has for therapy. From there, she will work collaboratively with those attending to determine appropriate next steps.
Do you see children, adolescents, and adults?+
Yes. Our psychology and dietitian services are provided for children, adolescents, and adults, depending on the type of service required and clinician availability.
View our team profilesHow do I contact the clinic between appointments?+
To help manage requests efficiently and fairly, most communication is handled through our secure online request forms rather than direct emails or phone calls. This allows us to direct your request to the appropriate place and respond in a timely and consistent manner.
Submit an online requestPsychometric testing — I have questions+
There can be much to understand about our psychometric testing services, so don’t be afraid to have several questions. Below are the questions we’re asked most often.
A structured psychological assessment process that uses standardised, evidence-based tools to measure how a person thinks, learns, feels, behaves, and functions. These assessments go beyond self-report and clinical interviews, providing objective data that helps clarify diagnoses, strengths, challenges, and patterns of functioning.
Children, adolescents, and adults seeking clarity about their cognitive, emotional, behavioural, learning, or psychological functioning. It is often helpful for individuals who feel “stuck”, have complex or overlapping concerns, require diagnostic clarification, or need formal documentation for school, workplace, or other purposes.
A range depending on the referral question and individual needs — cognitive (IQ) assessments, attention and executive functioning assessments, learning and academic assessments, behavioural and emotional functioning measures, personality assessments, and diagnostic assessments. The specific tests are selected by the psychologist based on clinical judgement and best-practice guidelines.
Attention difficulties, learning challenges, memory or processing issues, emotional or behavioural regulation difficulties, personality patterns, anxiety and mood-related concerns, developmental differences, and complex mental health presentations. It is also useful where symptoms overlap or previous diagnoses are unclear.
Yes — we frequently assess these conditions in children and adults where clinically appropriate. These assessments involve multiple components, including clinical interviews, standardised testing, questionnaires, and collateral information such as school or developmental history. Outcomes are based on recognised diagnostic criteria and professional standards.
Yes. We assess cognitive functioning, learning profiles, and academic skills to help identify intellectual strengths, learning difficulties, processing differences, or specific learning disorders. Some schools may also require an individual IQ test as part of their entry requirements.
Typically an initial clinical consultation, one or more testing sessions, scoring and interpretation of results, and preparation of a written report. Information may also be gathered from questionnaires, developmental history, or school and workplace reports.
The duration varies depending on the type and scope of the assessment. Some assessments involve several hours of testing across one or multiple sessions, followed by additional time for scoring, interpretation, and report writing. Your psychologist will discuss expected timeframes at the initial consultation.
Yes. Psychometric assessments include a comprehensive written report outlining findings, interpretations, and recommendations, written in clear professional language and tailored to the purpose of the assessment.
Yes for school and workplace purposes where appropriate, such as learning support, reasonable adjustments, or planning recommendations. If testing is required for legal or formal third-party purposes, this must be discussed in advance, as additional requirements, consent processes, or report formats may apply.
Yes. The assessment approach, tools, and consent processes are adjusted according to the individual’s age, developmental stage, and capacity to consent, in line with professional and ethical standards.
Our Principal Clinical Psychologist, Ashley Gilmour. She has more than 17 years’ experience working with a wide range of presenting concerns and strives to provide the highest quality service with regards to psychometric testing and reporting.
What if I’m anxious or unsure about starting therapy?+
It’s very common to feel unsure or anxious before a first appointment. Many people attend their initial consultation simply to talk through their concerns, ask questions, and understand what support might look like for them.
Your psychologist or dietitian will explain the process, discuss options, and work at a pace that feels appropriate for you. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with in the first session.
What is the difference between a Psychologist, a Clinical Psychologist, and a Psychiatrist?+
Psychologists, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists are all registered health professionals, but they differ in their training, scope of practice, and the types of services they provide.
A psychologist in Australia has completed a recognised psychology degree followed by one year of postgraduate study and one year of supervised practice, and is registered with AHPRA. Psychologists are trained in evidence-based psychological therapies and support people across a wide range of mental health and wellbeing concerns, from mild to more complex presentations. They provide assessment, therapy, and support, but do not have the additional specialist training required for endorsement in a specific area of practice.
A clinical psychologist has completed an additional two-year postgraduate specialist training in clinical psychology (Master of Clinical Psychology), along with extensive supervised clinical experience (a two-year registrar program). Clinical psychologists are endorsed by AHPRA and recognised by the Australian Psychological Society as having advanced expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental illness.
They are trained to work with presentations ranging from mild to severe, as well as broader emotional, behavioural, and psychological wellbeing concerns. They commonly work with more complex or longstanding presentations and are also highly trained in clinical assessment and psychometric testing. Because of this advanced training, clinical psychologists attract a higher Medicare rebate than general psychologists.
A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who has completed medical training followed by specialist training in psychiatry. Psychiatrists are qualified to diagnose mental illness, prescribe and manage medication, and oversee medical aspects of mental health care.
Psychiatrists generally focus on diagnostic assessment, medication management, and review appointments. While some may incorporate supportive counselling, they are not trained to provide structured psychological therapy in the same way psychologists and clinical psychologists are, and are not trained in administering psychometric tests or conducting comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments.
What length of therapy is your clinic suitable for?+
Our clinic is able to cater for as short or as long term as is clinically indicated by the Client’s needs. Some presentations may only require a few sessions, after which a client has enough information and tools to move on without further psychology sessions at that point in time.
For other clients, presentations may be life-long conditions requiring some level of ongoing psychological intervention and support — whether that be sessions a few times a year, or every 2–3 weeks.
We always aim towards fully treating the psychological condition as a first priority. However, we also understand that not every client’s presentation is fully recoverable. We are here to support you with what your needs are, and work at the pace that suits you.
What services do you offer?+
We offer a range of psychology, psychometric assessment, and dietetic services for children, adolescents, and adults, tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
Our Principal Clinical Psychologist provides psychological evaluation for patients wishing to undergo cosmetic surgery where their surgeon requires confirmation they are psychologically fit for surgery. This typically involves two initial psychological assessment consultations and two short reports — one to the surgeon and one to the client. In some situations, additional assessment consultations may be required to finalise recommendations.
Comprehensive psychometric assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, which may include cognitive, learning, attention, and executive functioning evaluations depending on the referral question. Testing is often used to support diagnostic clarification, educational planning, workplace recommendations, or personal insight.
Because each service area is explained in depth on its own page, we recommend exploring the relevant sections of our website. If you’re unsure which service is the best fit, you’re welcome to submit a request and we’ll help guide you through the next steps.
Who is your clinic suitable for?+
Our clinic is suitable for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as individuals and families, seeking psychology, psychometric testing, or dietetic services within a private practice setting.
We aim to provide high-quality clinical care within appropriate professional boundaries. While we are responsive and supportive, our clinic is not designed for ongoing urgent or high-frequency administrative contact outside of scheduled appointments.
Most communication and requests are managed through our secure online systems, allowing our clinicians to focus on providing care during session time. Many people attend for a single session to explore whether our services are the right fit, while others engage in ongoing therapy or assessment. Both are welcome within this structured model of care.
What types of requests or contact cannot be managed between sessions?+
Between scheduled appointments, clinicians are unable to provide unscheduled clinical advice or therapeutic input. However, certain assessment-related and administrative services can be completed between sessions when the appropriate process is followed.
Some assessments involve questionnaires or testing completed between sessions. These are only undertaken where the assessment has been agreed upon in advance, and fees for the test, administration, scoring, and interpretation outside session time are approved and paid.
Simple forms or brief letters may be completed within a booked session if all required information is available and you request this at the start of the session. Requests requiring work outside session time are a separate, billable service and must be submitted via the relevant request form, with the quote or invoice paid in full and consent forms completed before work commences.
New documents must first be uploaded via the appropriate online form. Review or interpretation outside of session time must be clearly requested through the form and is subject to review of suitability and scope, additional consent requirements, and a fee estimate and pre-payment. Alternatively, documents can be reviewed during your next booked appointment.
Submitting a request form allows the practitioner to determine whether the request is appropriate, whether additional information or appointments are required, and what the expected timeframe and cost may be.
Submit a requestWhat is considered an urgent or crisis situation or request?+
An urgent or crisis situation is any circumstance where there is immediate risk to your safety or the safety of others, or where your mental health has deteriorated to a level requiring immediate intervention. This may include:
An urgent request refers to a time-sensitive administrative or clinical request that does not involve immediate risk to safety — for example, time-sensitive documentation requests, requests related to assessments or reports with external deadlines, or requests for copies of invoices or appointment attendance.
While we understand that some requests feel urgent, they are still subject to practice processes. Submission of a request does not guarantee priority handling or same-day response. All requests must be submitted via the appropriate online form and are reviewed during business hours within 2 business days.
Can I contact my practitioner directly?+
To maintain clear professional boundaries, protect privacy, and support ethical and safe practice, practitioners do not communicate directly with clients or third parties outside of scheduled appointments.
Clients and Associated Parties are not permitted to contact practitioners directly via:
Direct contact through these channels is not monitored and will not receive a response. It is also recommended that third parties, such as insurers, communicate with our practitioners via the Submit a Request page where possible.
On occasion, a practitioner may contact a client or an associated party at their own discretion and for clinical purposes only — for example, where they are completing assessment-related work, reports, or documentation outside of session time and require clarification of specific information. Such contact does not create an expectation of ongoing communication or availability outside of appointments.
Our practice maintains social media accounts for informational and educational purposes only. These accounts are not used to manage enquiries, requests, or clinical communication, and messages sent via these platforms are not monitored.
All communication outside of appointments must be submitted via the appropriate online request form on our website, or our practice phone service on (07) 5574 3888, which is managed through an automated call-handling system. If a matter requires clinical discussion, this will be addressed during your next scheduled appointment, or an additional appointment may be recommended.

Fees & Rebates
Payment, Medicare and private health rebates, third-party funding, and file release costs.
Can sessions be funded by third-party organisations (e.g. NDIS, WorkCover, insurance, DVA)?+
Yes, some services may be funded by third-party organisations, depending on the funding body and the approval provided. Third-party funding arrangements often involve a co-payment — the difference between our clinic’s consultation fee and the amount paid by the funding organisation.
Our clinic sets its own fees for initial and subsequent consultations. Where a funding body contributes part of the fee, the remaining balance is payable by the client as a co-payment. Co-payments are often lower than standard private or Medicare out-of-pocket costs, but they do vary.
We welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Our standard consultation fees (see our Fees & Rebates page) apply and must be paid in full before your appointment; we’ll then provide a receipt so you can claim reimbursement from your plan manager or the NDIA. The NDIS reimburses psychology at $252.99 and dietetics at $178.99 per session, so where our fee is higher than the NDIS amount you’ll be out of pocket the difference. We no longer bill the NDIS directly or apply a co-payment. As we’re not a registered NDIS provider, we’re unable to see NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants.
These schemes may contribute toward session costs. In most cases a co-payment still applies, as scheme rates do not usually cover the full consultation fee. The amount varies depending on the scheme, whether the appointment is initial or subsequent, and the practitioner providing the service.
Some insurers (e.g. CTP) may contribute toward the cost of sessions. In certain cases insurers cover the full consultation fee, meaning no co-payment is required. In other cases a co-payment may apply, depending on the insurer and the terms of their pre-approval.
Funding may be accepted under relevant programs, subject to prior approval. Whether a co-payment applies depends on the specific scheme and funding limits.
We no longer accept DVA funding arrangements, as these do not allow for co-payments and are not sustainable for our clinic.
We are approved providers for some employer-funded or workplace wellbeing arrangements. Please check with your employer first. Coverage and any applicable co-payment depend on the agreement in place.
Do you accept private health fund rebates?+
Yes. We invoice the consultation as a private consultation with the private health fund item code. You will be emailed a receipt, which you upload to your private health fund app to submit a claim. All the necessary details the claim will ask for can be found on your invoice. Claims are usually paid within 1–2 business days.
How much rebate you receive depends on your fund and level of cover chosen. Private health fund rebates are not available for clients who have not opted for a policy covering psychology or dietitian services.
Do you offer Medicare bulk-billing or reduced fees?+
No. We are a private clinic and do not offer bulk billing or reduced-fee services. Our fee structure reflects the professional expertise, time, and resources involved in providing high-quality care.
You may be eligible for Medicare rebates by obtaining a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP), or Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) from your GP or psychiatrist.
See Medicare rebatesHow do I pay for my session?+
The payment process varies by appointment type. Currently it is as follows:
Pre-payment excludes consultation items invoiced post-paid to third-party funders.
Payment can be made via EFTPOS or cash in the clinic, via bank deposit (details provided on your invoice), or via Tyro Online using the online payment link on your invoice sent by email or SMS.
How do I receive my Medicare rebate?+
Please ensure you have provided us with your doctor referral for the MHCP, EDMP, or CDMP.
Once your appointment has been attended, we simply click a Medicare button on our client system that processes the rebate for you. This will process provided your referral is valid and you have sessions available in the calendar year to rebate on.
If the claimant of the Medicare rebate is not the client (for example, a parent), we can process the rebate provided you have given us accurate claimant details in advance — name, date of birth, and Medicare reference number. We will let you know if we are missing any information or if a rebate has processed unsuccessfully.
What are the Medicare rebates & how do I get a referral?+
Medicare rebates vary depending on service type and duration. Our most common Medicare rebates are:
You are welcome to book your initial consultation prior to having your referral arranged while you’re waiting to see the referring doctor. All that is required is that the referral date is no later than the date of the consultation, and that consultation will be eligible for the rebate.
These referrals can typically be provided by a doctor at either an in-clinic appointment or via a Telehealth doctor (GP or psychiatrist) online — look on their website where they specifically state they provide “specialist referrals”, MHCPs, or EDMPs.
More on Medicare rebatesWhat are the psychology & dietitian fees?+
Fees vary depending on the type of service, whether the appointment is an initial or subsequent consultation, and which clinician you are seeing.
Current consultation fees are displayed in our online booking system. When selecting your appointment type, the applicable fee will be shown before you confirm your booking.
Fees for psychometric testing and psychological report writing vary depending on the nature, scope, and complexity of the request. As these services are not fixed-fee, details regarding timeframes and costs will be discussed with your psychologist during your initial consultation, before any assessment or report work proceeds.
View psychology feesWhat is the cost of a file release?+
This cost varies depending on how many pages the file release ends up being. Please submit a request and we will email you a consent form with the anticipated cost.
Once we have received full payment of the invoice and the signed consent form, we will proceed with compiling your file. The file will be released once we have finalised any outstanding payments.

Our Practice
Our Bundall location, parking, accessibility, after-hours appointments, and the feel of our space.
Do you have a bathroom on site?+
Yes, we have bathroom facilities on our floor for client and staff use.
Do you provide after-hours appointments?+
Yes, this is provided by Ashley Gilmour, Principal Clinical Psychologist. Her consultation schedule can change from time to time, however she does provide days where her earliest consultations start at 7:00am, and her latest consultations finish at 6:00pm.
Please check the online booking system to view her schedule of available appointments.
Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?+
Yes. Come in through the front glass sliding doors entrance and take the elevator located in the foyer up to Level 1, which opens directly into the clinic.
All consultation rooms have door widths that meet the legal specifications for wheelchair access, along with all hallways.
What is the clinic address?+
Our in-person clinic is located at Level 1, 105 Upton Street, Bundall QLD 4217.
You will find us in the six-storey white building behind the little white house on the street front. Come up the driveway and see if one of our client car parks is available (bays 7, 13, 39), otherwise park on the street and access the building through the front sliding doors. In the foyer is an elevator to take you to Level 1. If you don’t like elevators, take the fire stairs to Level 1.
What is the practice environment and ambience like?+
Our practice was gutted and rebuilt in September 2022 and has been intentionally designed to feel calm, warm, and supportive, rather than clinical or sterile. The spaces are modern, thoughtfully styled, and quietly welcoming, with an emphasis on comfort, privacy, and a sense of ease.
Consultation rooms are softly furnished and designed to reduce sensory overload. We are mindful that some clients are sensitive to bright lighting, visual stimulation, or clinical environments. For this reason, our rooms allow flexibility with lighting — overhead lighting can be reduced or turned off, and warm wall lighting used instead, depending on your comfort and preferences.
Many clients describe the space as grounding, gentle, and peaceful, which can be particularly helpful for those experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, or sensory sensitivities. We aim to create an environment where clients feel able to settle, focus, and engage in therapy without unnecessary distraction or discomfort.
View our spaceWhere do I park as a client or visitor?+
We have three designated client car parks on site — bays 7 and 39 (open air), and bay 13 (undercover). Please be aware we cannot guarantee availability.
There is also paid street parking with a 2-hour limit on the commercial side of Upton Street. Unpaid parking on the residential side of Upton Street has a 3-hour limit.

Our clinic is not an emergency or crisis service
Online forms, emails and voicemail messages are not monitored for urgent matters. If you are in crisis or require immediate support, please contact one of the services below.
