Welcome to Vitality Unleashed Psychology! We are a private Clinical Psychology practice located in Bundall, Gold Coast. At this present time due to the nature of COVID-19, psychology sessions can be held via telephone or video conferencing. We aim to protect our client’s health and safety from the spread of Coronavirus whilst continuing to provide psychological support through these difficult times.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is the delivery of health or medical appointments via online means or phone call. In psychology, the effectiveness of psychological assessment and treatment is typically the same as that of face to face appointments, so you don’t need to worry about it not being helpful to you. Our highly experienced Psychologists have a great deal of experience providing psychological services via Telehealth.
All psychology consultations are delivered by either:
- Telephone
- Coviu (details below)
About Coviu:
Coviu is similar to Skype and Zoom, though more professional and secure for allied health/medical appointments. Think of it as an online ‘virtual clinic’ that has virtual waiting rooms and consultation rooms. It’s been recommended by our Australian Psychological Society (APS) that we use this instead of Skype or Zoom as it is much more secure than other software and it also complies with the Australian governing regulation standards for online health services. We’ve tested it out extensively and it is extremely easy to use and there is no download of any software or app needed. You only need to click on a web link to start the session on any computer or smart device (such as a mobile phone or iPad).

Who is Telehealth Suitable For?
Telehealth Psychology is typically suitable for people aged 6 years and older, however this can depend on the presentation. If you have a young child whom you do not think would be suitable for Telehealth, please discuss your concerns with us, as providing yourself, the parent, the psychological sessions to then help your child can also typically be beneficial.
Fees & Rebates:
As of Monday 20 April 2020, our standard psychological fees and Medicare rebates ($129.55 per session) apply for all Telehealth psychology consultations. Please visit our fees and rebates information by clicking here.
We will continue to provide Telehealth appointments for those whom request same even after the COVID-19 situation has resolved.
