An IQ or intellectual functioning assessment is a structured, evidence-based process, and we’ll guide you through every step. It usually includes:

No. You’re welcome to contact us directly to begin. A GP referral only matters if you later want Medicare rebates for follow-up therapy.
Can an IQ test diagnose an intellectual disability?+
An IQ assessment is one important piece, but a diagnosis also requires an assessment of adaptive functioning. We can arrange both and explain how they fit together.
Can my child be gifted and still have a learning difficulty?+
Yes. Some children are “twice-exceptional”, meaning they’re gifted and also have a learning difficulty or ADHD. A good assessment picks up these uneven profiles rather than hiding them behind a single score.
Can this be done via telehealth?+
Often, yes. Many parts of the process work well online through PsychTesting Online, and we’ll advise if in-person testing is needed for the most accurate results.
